Ice is Out!

Afternoon temperatures in the low 40°s and a steady breeze were enough to open the channel and clear the north end of the lake - we're declaring "Ice Out" for 2025!

There are still some icebergs floating around, but it's clear that a kayaker could make the definitive trip up the lake. See our Ice page for more details!

Ice Out marks the beginning of another year of summer activities on the lake. The water is still cold, but we're already seeing some docks and watercraft being prepared. Can days of splashing at the beach be far behind?
